Eaton’s Neck Fire Department Mourns the Loss of Ex-Chief and Life Member Philip D. Archer

It is with deep regret that the Eaton’s Neck Fire Department announces the passing of Ex-Chief and Life Member Philip D. Archer. Phil was an active member for 29 years and served as Chief of the Eaton’s Neck Fire Department from 1987-1988. He also served as a commissioner of the Eaton’s Neck Fire District and as President of the Town of Huntington Fire Chiefs’ Council. Phil was known for bringing much laughter to any room. The family will receive friends at the Royce-Chedzoy Funeral Home, 212 E. Fourth Street, Watkins Glen, NY on Sunday, May 29 from 2 to 4 p.m.; followed by a memorial service in his memory at 4 p.m. Donations in Phil’s memory can be made to the Montour Falls Library, 406 W Main St, Montour Falls, NY 14865 or to the Southern Tier Library System, 9424 Scott Rd, Painted Post, NY 14870 for a scholarship in his name.
