The Eaton’s Neck Fire Department recently held their 61st Annual Installation of Officers where the new officers were installed and members were recognized for their service.
Leading the Department is Chief Richard Rizzuti, who was installed along with First Assistant Chief Steven Zulawski and Second Assistant Chief Peter Hluboky. Also taking their oaths of office were Captains Jerry Hehir and John Pokorny, Rescue Squad Captain Clare Guydish, and Fire Police Squad Captain Michael Falk. The Lieutenants taking the oath were Paul Rittenhouse and Michael Pinto, Rescue Squad Lieutenant Elizabeth Digangi, and Fire Police Squad Lieutenant Richard Deters.
Other Department officers include Engineering Officer Arthur Angst, Chaplains Alfred Zelenka and Walter Visco, Secretary Peter Schmidt, and Treasurer William Tschirhart. Outgoing Chief Paul Boronow was recognized for his service and leadership as chief from 2015-2016.
Fire Police Squad Captain Michael Falk was presented with the Firefighter of the Year Award and was recognized for his outstanding and dedicated service. Rescue Squad Lieutenant Elizabeth Digangi was presented with the Firemedic of the Year award and was recognized for her outstanding and dedicated service. Fire Police Squad Lieutenant Richard Deters was recognized for 45 years of active service and Ex-Chiefs Stephen D’Amato, Kevin Wallace, and Edward O’Donnell were recognized for 35 years of active service. Ex-Chief Philip Whiter was recognized for 30 years of active service. First Assistant Chief Steven Zulawski was recognized for 20 years of active service and Chief Richard Rizzuti and Firefighter James Fitzgerald were recognized for 15 years of active service.
