On Friday, March 20, 2026, the Eaton’s Neck Fire Department swore in its new officers for the 2026 year. Michael A. Pinto was sworn in by Commissioner Jerry Hehir as the new Chief of the Department. Also sworn in were the following officers:

Second Assistant Chief: Gregory Atkins
Firematic Captains: Gary B. Schwartz and Sean Cuiffo
Fire Medic Captain: Andrew Reid
Firematic Lieutenants: Paul Ribiero and Ex-Chief John Pokorny
Fire Medic Lieutenant: David Schaefer-Walker
Fire Police Captain: Richard Deters
Fire Police Lieutenant: Al Zalenka
Treasurer: William Tschirhart
Secretary: Christine Nastos-Mitchell
Engineering Officer: Arthur Angst
At the dinner, the Department also presented awards to deserving members. The EMT of the year for 2025 was presented to Laura Leone. The firefighter of the year for 2025 was presented to Joseph Rini. And the Joseph Cartolano award for going beyond the call of duty was presented to Fire Medic Lieutenant David Schaefer-Walker.
